About this activity

A private taxi to Cusco’s 4 ruins (Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay) takes between 3 and 4 hours — the shortest tour in our catalog, in a vehicle with driver for a fixed rate.

It’s the choice for anyone with limited free time in Cusco: a same-day arrival or departure, a free afternoon between activities, or simply no interest in adding the historic center to the visit. Just the four outlying archaeological sites, no filler.

With over a decade operating in Cusco and a 5.0/5.0 TripAdvisor rating (36 reviews), we coordinate your pickup from your hotel or the airport according to your schedule.

Itinerary

01
Start

Sacsayhuamán

Sacsayhuamán overlooks Cusco from above with massive zigzag walls, some blocks weighing over 100 tons fitted together without mortar. It was a ceremonial center and is also the site of Inti Raymi, the sun festival that recreates the ancient Inca ritual every June. From the upper esplanade you get a panoramic view of the entire city.

02
Stop 01

Qenqo

Qenqo is a carved limestone outcrop with a semicircular amphitheater, zigzag channels believed to have been used in rituals involving chicha or camelid blood, and an underground chamber. A weathered puma-shaped monolith, a sacred figure in Inca worldview, stands out on the rock.

03
Stop 02

Puca Pucara

Puca Pucara, or "red fortress" for the tone the stone takes at sunset, functioned as a checkpoint and resting place (tambo) on the route to the Sacred Valley. It's smaller and much less crowded than Sacsayhuamán, ideal for a quiet stop.

04
End

Tambomachay

Tambomachay, known as "the Inca's baths," is a ceremonial site with terraces, canals, and stone-carved water fountains that still work today. It's associated with water worship rituals, a central element in Inca religion.

Does the tour include a guide?

No. It's private transportation with a professional driver, without an interpretive guide included.

Is this a good option if I have little time in Cusco?

Yes, it's our shortest tour — ideal for a free afternoon, or the same day you arrive or leave.
